A pendant is a handheld controller for Overhead Cranes. A pendant is typically a rectangular wired handset that enables an overhead crane operator to control all motions of a crane system along with stopping the lifting equipment during an emergency. Pendant systems are available in various IP ratings depending on the operating environment. Unlike early pendant systems, Modern pendants are typically low voltage for safety (24v / 48v) and operate the various motions using control / contactor components. Overhead crane pendants are usually modular in their design for ease of modification and servicing. All of Granada Cranes and Handling’s service vehicles carry industry standard Schneider pendants and components as van stock to assist providing timely on site repairs and thus minimising any downtime of overhead cranes.
